Florida New Worlds Scholarship Accounts: provider guide
Check whether you can support existing New Worlds account holders, without advertising new awards or treating an older provider invitation as current onboarding confirmation.

About this guide
An independent guide to New Worlds Scholarship Accounts, not an official application or an eligibility decision. Rules, application windows and available funds can change. Confirm your circumstances with the program before changing enrollment or committing money.
Existing balances only
SUFS is not accepting new applications because there is no new funding. Existing recipients may use remaining balances under the account rules. This is separate from the UF-administered New Worlds Reading book program.

Existing funds, not new scholarship demand
The no-new-awards notice governs how this program should be described to families. SUFS retains information about approved reading and math services, but some provider materials still refer to earlier school years.
Your next steps
Confirm current onboarding with SUFS
Before completing an older interest form, ask the administrator whether your provider category can currently be added to serve existing balances. Do not interpret a live historical webpage as confirmation that registration is open.
Match the service to the remaining-fund rules
Prepare a clear description of the reading or math tutoring, instructional materials or program offered. Use the current account rules and request clarification if the service spans both eligible and unrelated activities.
Verify the authorized transaction route
For an eligible existing account, confirm the current direct-purchase arrangement with SUFS and the family before providing services. Keep the account's available funds separate from any expectation of a new annual award.
Preparation checklist
Use this to get organized. The current official application or handbook controls the full requirements.
- Current SUFS participation confirmation
- Reading or math service and product descriptions
- Itemized charges and the program-authorized payment route
Submit identity, financial, student and medical records only through the verified official process. Do not upload application documents to ParentSurf or include them in a public review.
Important distinctions
- Do not use an old annual award figure as a promise to prospective customers.
- No new awards does not establish whether a particular old account still has usable funds.
Official resources & further reading
State agencies and their program administrators are the source of application requirements. Older editions are labeled; check the program site for newer guidance.
