About this guide
An independent guide to Florida Tax Credit Scholarship Program (FTC), not an official application or an eligibility decision. Rules, application windows and available funds can change. Confirm your circumstances with the program before changing enrollment or committing money.
Before you start
Identify the pathway and your role
A school receiving FTC tuition, a tutor serving a PEP student and a retailer selling educational materials do not have identical participation requirements. Ask which scholarship and education pathway will fund the purchase before selecting an application route.
Your next steps
Participating schools: begin with Florida DOE
Use DOE's scholarship participation instructions to prepare the school compliance application and supporting records. Confirm the current submission and renewal requirements rather than relying only on a private-school directory entry.
Non-school businesses: use the administrator's provider hub
Follow SUFS's account and provider-category instructions if serving its scholarship families. A merchant catalog and a direct-service listing are different arrangements; choose the workflow appropriate to your actual offering.
Check the customer's approved use before payment
Match the invoice to the FTC pathway and any tuition-first requirements. If the family participates in PEP, review the PEP-specific rules; approval to serve a private-school scholarship does not establish every PEP expense's eligibility.
Preparation checklist
Use this to get organized. The current official application or handbook controls the full requirements.
- The student's exact scholarship pathway, without collecting unnecessary private records
- School compliance or business/provider application documents
- Accurate tuition or product/service pricing and descriptions
Submit identity, financial, student and medical records only through the verified official process. Do not upload application documents to ParentSurf or include them in a public review.
Important distinctions
- Do not treat a family's FTC application status as payment authorization.
- Provider registration is not permission to market every product as scholarship-approved.
