Terms of Use

These terms apply to parentsurf.com and its directory, maps, program guides, accounts, reviews, provider-management tools, and any paid ParentSurf features. By using ParentSurf, you agree to these terms together with the applicable general Scholar Within Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

ParentSurf-specific permissions and limitations below control for this directory. Provisions about Scholar Within course access, reading assessments, recordings, parent verification for those assessments, physical-product shipping, or their SMS programs do not apply merely because you use ParentSurf.

You must be at least 18 to create or use a ParentSurf account. Keep account information accurate, protect your sign-in credentials, and contact us if you suspect unauthorized use. A social sign-in account does not establish ownership of a provider or school listing.

If you request access to or act for an organization, you must have authority to do so. We may require verification before granting or retaining management access. Do not impersonate another person, claim another organization, or share access in a way that bypasses permissions.

Authentication and billing on ParentSurf are separate from course access, assessment permissions, and subscriptions on other Scholar Within services. Your information is handled as explained in the ParentSurf Privacy Policy.

ParentSurf is a discovery and comparison service. It is not a state agency, scholarship administrator, accreditor, school, or clinical referral service. Directory information, source links, maps, reviews, and guides may be incomplete or become outdated.

A state badge, program label, ClassWallet Marketplace badge, or sourced listing records an association or source finding. It is not a guarantee of current approval, eligibility for every program in a state, reimbursement, available funds, a provider's quality, or approval of a particular purchase. Confirm current requirements directly with the relevant program administrator and provider.

Map positions may be approximate, and a business may have multiple locations with different services or program participation. Check the actual address, availability, credentials, accessibility, and suitability before visiting or purchasing. ParentSurf content is not individualized educational, medical, legal, tax, or financial advice.

Reviews should describe genuine experiences and distinguish opinion from factual claims. Do not submit fabricated or purchased reviews, impersonate a customer, review your own organization, manipulate ratings, harass someone, or publish another person's private information. Disclose a material relationship or incentive where relevant; disclosure does not make a prohibited self-review permissible.

Honest criticism and negative reviews are allowed. A review will not be removed just because it is unfavorable, and payment does not buy favorable reviews. Moderation can address spam, conflicts of interest, privacy violations, unlawful content, or other rule violations; it is not a guarantee that every published statement has been independently verified.

You retain rights in content you submit. You give Scholar Within permission to host, reproduce, format, and display it as reasonably needed to operate and present ParentSurf, including public directory pages and their search/share previews. You must have the rights needed to submit it. This ParentSurf permission replaces broader general-purpose submission permissions for ParentSurf contributions.

Do not include sensitive child, medical, financial, or student information. Public content can be indexed or copied elsewhere. Contact us to report a review or request a correction. Lawful public business contact details are permitted in their designated listing fields; restrictions on private information are not a ban on those listing contacts.

We may create unclaimed profiles from public sources and identify their provenance. Listing an organization does not imply its endorsement of ParentSurf or our endorsement of it. Tell us if a source or profile is inaccurate.

Authorized managers may use the tools actually made available to maintain listings and showcase their organization's products or services. That intended commercial use is permitted, notwithstanding general personal-use restrictions for Scholar Within course materials. Access requests and corrections may require support assistance.

Managers are responsible for submitted descriptions, contact information, prices, product/service links, catalog feeds, CSV data, and claims about credentials or program participation. Submit only information and materials you have authority to use. We may moderate or decline submissions; a paid plan does not exempt a listing from those standards.

Links to a provider's product, booking, enrollment, or payment page take you to that organization's service. Unless a checkout expressly identifies a ParentSurf listing subscription, purchases and service arrangements are with the seller or service provider, not ParentSurf.

The applicable seller controls its prices, fulfillment, cancellations, refunds, services, and payment methods. Confirm any ESA or scholarship payment rules before purchase. Scholar Within course refund or shipping policies do not become a third-party provider's policies by virtue of a ParentSurf listing.

If offered, paid listing plans are optional. The plan features, annual price, applicable charges, and renewal terms shown at checkout govern the subscription you choose. ParentSurf provider subscriptions renew annually until canceled; only an authorized listing owner may manage billing.

Stripe processes checkout and provides the billing portal. You can use the portal linked from the provider billing page to manage payment details and cancel future renewal. Scheduled cancellation normally preserves access through the paid term. Contact us if you cannot access cancellation or need help with a billing issue.

Cancellation and a refund are different actions. Any refund rights or policy disclosed at checkout, and rights required by applicable law, remain in effect. These terms do not create a blanket no-refund rule. Removing an account or unpublishing a listing is not a substitute for canceling its subscription.

Paid features do not guarantee leads, sales, state-program approval, or favorable reviews. Failed or reversed payments may affect paid access. Do not use a ParentSurf paid plan as evidence of government approval or professional qualification.

Organic results can take account of search relevance, ParentSurf ratings and review counts, profile information, program-source evidence, and rotation among comparable results. Those signals are not endorsements or professional evaluations. Unrated listings are not zero-rated listings.

Payment does not improve organic ranking or change reviews or verified program evidence. Any sponsored placement is separately labeled.

Scholar Within, Inc. owns ParentSurf and also offers educational products and services that may appear in the directory. Ownership or an affiliated listing is not a claim of independent accreditation, and the same published directory and review standards apply.

Do not bypass access controls or rate limits, introduce malicious software, interfere with the service, use private account data without authorization, misrepresent your identity, or use the directory to send unlawful or unsolicited messages.

Respect rights in provider content, trademarks, logos, and ParentSurf materials. Use of a third party's name or logo in a listing does not transfer its rights to you. You may use ordinary browsing, sharing, and the management tools offered for your authorized listing; other reuse remains subject to applicable rights and the general Scholar Within Terms.

The general Scholar Within Terms contain provisions about service availability, warranties, liability, indemnity, intellectual property, electronic communications, assignment, severability, and California law and jurisdiction. Those provisions apply where relevant, subject to the ParentSurf-specific terms above and any rights or protections that cannot lawfully be waived.

We may restrict access or remove content for violations, abuse, security needs, or legal requirements. Enforcement does not remove any cancellation, refund, appeal, or other rights required by law. Accepting these terms is not a separate marketing, SMS, child-data, or assessment-sharing consent.

We will date changes to these terms and provide any additional notice required by law. Review applicable changes before continuing to use ParentSurf or purchasing a plan. Contact us about these terms, a listing or review concern, billing, or an intellectual-property complaint. Include the relevant page URL where possible.
