Check the career-program fit
CSA funds eligible career preparation, training and work-based learning rather than a general education shopping account. Review the current student-grade, enrollment and program requirements with IDOE and the participating career provider.

Choose an approved career opportunity
Discuss the proposed program with your student's school or career provider. Check the official CSA program resources to confirm the course or training qualifies; a general tutoring business is not automatically a CSA program.
Follow the current student application instructions
Use IDOE's current CSA page for the application calendar and account route. Prepare the student and program information requested and distinguish an application for an award from admission to the training itself.
Use the authorized invoice process
After approval, review the eligible expenses and account instructions. IDOE's FAQ describes using ClassWallet with provider invoices; obtain clear charges for the actual approved career activity before requesting payment.

Important distinctions
- CSA is separate from Indiana's ESA for students with disabilities and siblings.
- Training admission alone does not establish a CSA award or payment authorization.
