Before you start
Review the student and sibling pathways
The current Indiana ESA program serves students with disabilities and qualifying siblings. Use IDOE's handbook for student eligibility, education setting and required evidence. Do not substitute the separate Career Scholarship Account's criteria.

Check the IDOE application calendar
Indiana DOE now administers the program. Its 2026-27 calendar lists an application period ending September 1, 2026. Check for any official update rather than treating an accessible portal as proof that new applications are still accepted.
Apply through the linked Access Indiana route
Create or use Access Indiana and follow the ESA Parent Application Guide linked by IDOE. Submit the student information and evidence requested for the applicable disability or sibling category, then monitor the official account.
Review the award and payment instructions
After a decision, follow the current handbook and ClassWallet guidance. Check approved providers, expenses and invoice timing before buying; a parent request to add a provider does not itself approve that business.

Important distinctions
- The former Treasurer program pages are not the current-year application authority.
- An ESA account is different from Indiana's career-focused CSA.
