About The Village Schoolhouse Collective
The Village Schoolhouse is a homeschool enrichment program designed to supplement, not replace, a student’s primary academic instruction. Parents or guardians remain fully responsible for all core curriculum, including math, reading, and language arts, in the home environment. Our program provides part-time, enrichment-based learning experiences that focus on hands-on exploration, collaborative projects, and real-world skill development. Students attend 1–3 days per week to participate in structured enrichment activities that enhance their overall homeschool education. The Village Schoolhouse does not provide direct instruction in core academic subjects, formal grading, or accredited curriculum. Instead, our program is centered around enrichment areas such as science exploration, history-based projects, creative arts, practical life skills, and social development. All programming is led by instructors and facilitators who guide group activities, support student engagement, and create a positive learning environment. These individuals are not acting as certified teachers providing primary academic instruction, but rather as leaders of enrichment experiences, mentorship, and hands-on learning opportunities. Our approach emphasizes: Experiential, project-based learning Collaboration and communication skills Critical thinking and problem-solving Creativity and exploration Social interaction in a structured group setting The Village Schoolhouse operates as a supplemental educational program, providing valuable enrichment and community-based learning opportunities while preserving the parent’s role as the primary educator.
