About The Phonics Academy
The Phonics Academy specializes in helping struggling readers and students with dyslexia become confident, independent readers. We provide individualized online tutoring using a structured, multisensory approach based on Orton-Gillingham principles. Our program focuses on the foundational skills necessary for reading success, including phonemic awareness, phonics, spelling, fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension. Lessons are customized to each student's current skill level and learning needs. We work with students in grades K–12 and frequently support students with dyslexia, reading disabilities, IEPs, and other literacy challenges. Our goal is to help students develop the skills and confidence needed to succeed both academically and independently.
