About Laryssa Doohovskoy

Laryssa Doohovskoy brings real world performance experience into her teaching, helping singers of all ages and levels build healthy technique, artistic confidence, and stage readiness. A passionate educator, she has over 20 years of experience teaching students of all ages. She has given masterclasses in the Greater Boston area and along the east coast and has served as an adjudicator for local and national competitions. Her students have successfully auditioned for amateur and professional stage productions, district festivals, and conservatory programs. Ms. Doohovskoy is on the music faculty at the Middlesex School in Concord, MA. She is a member of the National Association of Teachers of Singing. As an established mezzo-soprano, she has performed under the baton of many notable conductors including Wolfgang Sawallisch, Ricardo Muti, Sean Deibler, David Hayes, and Christopher Hogwood. She is a frequent chamber music collaborator in the Greater Boston area, performing classical, musical theatre, and new music programs, and has appeared on several commercial recordings, including the critically acclaimed Rachmaninov All-Night Vigil (2017) with members of the Gloriae Dei Cantores, St. Romanos Cappella, and Washington Master Chorale. Ms.Doohovskoy received her Bachelor’s degree in vocal performance from New England Conservatory and a Master’s degree in vocal performance from the Frost School of Music at the University of Miami.
