Cignition is a virtual, high-impact tutoring organization for grades K-12 in English Language Arts and mathematics, with proven results in academic gains for students. Cignition offers a turnkey virtual tutoring program with dedicated program administration, evidence-based implementation, and continuous data-driven decision-making. Cignition’s goals reflect our vision for high-impact tutoring and our proven approach. They include: 1. Build deep conceptual understanding and accelerate learning. We aim for students to develop meaningful, long-lasting understanding of key math and ELA concepts—through small-group virtual tutoring (1:1 up to 4:1) that blends peer interaction, student agency, and standards-aligned instruction. Our goal is to accelerate progress, not simply remediate. 2. Deliver consistent, high-quality tutoring matched to student needs. We provide certified teachers (averaging 10+ years of classroom experience) who are matched to students by content area, grade level, and instructional specialization (e.g., English learners, international newcomers, students with IEPs). Our goal is to ensure each session is intentionally tailored to the students’ academic profiles. 3. Support equity, engagement, and collaborative learning. We believe in a tutoring model where students actively engage and take ownership of their learning. Our goal is to create a welcoming, inclusive environment where all students, including those from underserved backgrounds, gain confidence, feel empowered, and make measurable gains. 4. Partner transparently with families and students We aim for active coordination with families and students, clear communication of student progress, frequent check-ins, and data-driven instructional adjustments. Tutors and program managers collaborate with stakeholders to align with tutoring goals.
