About Charleston Jazz

he Charleston Jazz Academy has established itself as one of the region’s premier centers for music and jazz education. As a program of Charleston Jazz, a nonprofit arts organization, the Academy offers a comprehensive range of instruction, including private lessons, group classes, masterclasses, and summer camps. We provide training across most instruments as well as voice, with group classes and camps emphasizing jazz studies. Through this diverse programming, the Charleston Jazz Academy brings together students of all ages and backgrounds in a collaborative, engaging, and challenging environment. Students expand their musical repertoire while developing skills in improvisation, teamwork, creativity, and self-expression.
